Biography
Kamalicca has been composing songs
from an early age and has training in piano music theory from
childhood. She also played the baritone in her junior high school band.
Both at her high school and at the University of California-Berkeley,
she was selected
to sing in the Chorale.
In addition to Western music,
Kamalicca also had training in Indian classical music under the tutelage
of world renowned musician Dr. Ali Akbar Khan, a multiple Grammy Award
nominee, and under Pandit Sumon Ghosh, a well-known Indian classical
singer and winner of several prestigious awards.
Academically, Kamalicca completed her undergraduate degree in Biology
from the University of California at Berkeley and her Masters degree in
Financial Management from Pace University in New York. Professionally,
Kamalicca started working in a financial career while completing her
MBA. After finishing her degree, she continued to work in the financial
industry for several years. Now, she devotes her spare time to fulfill
her thirst and passion for music.
Kamalicca believes in bringing alternative/fusion music that is
melodious. To her, music is like an ocean with limitless boundaries-
there is always room for new trends and experiments. The melodies and
lyrics of her songs evoke feelings of joy, love, hope, faith, optimism,
and tranquility. Through her songs, Kamalicca is determined to shower
the whole world with happiness and to bring together people from all
castes, creeds, nationalities, races, and religions in harmony. Share
